Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Think it is that time of year to put the Annual Chelters thread.

So here it is..........

Any Ante post bets get them on here folks.

I will be there for the full week once again, can't wait!!

My Ante Post so far:-

Thistlecrack 7/2 for the Gold Cup
Moon Racer 5/1 (NRNB with Skybet) for the Supreme
Faugheen 10/1 for Champion Hurdle
Faugheen at 4/1 for World Hurdle

Also backed Robin Roe but his fall the other week has probably messed up his chances.

Will post up a separate Preview Thread nearer the time.

Faugheen?? Not good sounds out of Mullins yard.... be surprised if he even makes it in March... even if he does he won't have a run before... can't touch him

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Saying that 7/2 is looking brilliant odds on Tizzard's wonder horse... especially with both Coneygree and the Don' now out

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Annie power - world 12/1
VVM - mares 7/2
Moonracer - Supreme 6/1
Altior - Arkle 3/1

Thistlecrack/Douvan - in every acca I have placed since October.

Annie power for the world is a punt - Ricci will keep her and Faugheen apart so unless Faugheen isn't 100% I can't see her running in the CH even though she'd piss it. I don't think VVM can't beat UknowhatImeanharry so by default I think she'll reverse the score with apples jade and win the mares !!

Putting Annie the Champion hurdler in the mares would be a disgrace !! So by default I think she'll go in stayers - I'm sure Ricci feels like she has unfinished business in that race after going so close with against more of that !

Can never tell with Ricci/Mullins though - their in it for the bookies so tread carefully !!

Ricci said (so don't trust this too much) that he fully expects to see Faugheen in IRish Champion Hurdle Jan 29th !!

Yes the Faugheen bets are a bit of a risk with his injury problems so hoping on those.

Thistlecrack I just had a gut feeling after he polished up his jumping second time over fences that he would be the horse to watch.

He is also low as 10/11 now.

Just wish i had more on him at 7/2

Bloke in work's aunt owns Thistlecrack so been having fun with him for a while including 3-1 in King George when I first heard he was definitely running.

Apart from that and Native River, Tizzard also has Alary in GC who would be placed on French form.

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Not going this year for first time in ages. They'd increased capacity last year and it was way to busy. Gonna take a few days off work and sit in front of the TV.

Not second guessing who goes where with Mullins horses so only had one ante post L15 bet.

Thistlecrack - Gold Cup
Douvan - Champion Chase
Altior - Arkle
Moon Racer - Supreme

Concern at this stage is that Moon Racer may go Champion Hurdle and Altior the Arkle but it is unlikely. Roll on March

Me too, will be at the Haydock one again.

One just to keep an eye out for who actually runs today and been under the radar.

Top Ville Ben - Runs in Novice Hurdle at Leicester today (3.40pm). Needs to win to have any chance of a run at Chelters (in the Supreme). But Nicky Henderson likes him and feels the Supreme is wide open this year so he could be aimed for that providing he wins well today.

The horse I mentioned Just bolted up

Get it in the notebooks lads.

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Had some more on Top Ville Ben. Now on at 40s and 25s. Low as 16s in some places.

Unconventional route for the Supreme but chemical Nicky knows the game!!

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Dinaria des Obeaux in the JCB Triumph @ 20s is worth a nibble - Gigginstown owned and Elliott trained but a little under the radar as all the current news is about Defi de Seuil, Bapaume, Charli Parcs, Landofhopeandglory etc..

She bolted up on hurdles debut by 29L in a field of 22 at Cork and looked the real deal travelling and jumping brilliantly.

Crack Mome runs in the Moscow Flyer tomorrow, another Supreme hope.

If he wins that his price will drop significantly.

Well Crack Mome didnt deliver at the weekend.

Mullins seems to be making a mess of his novice hurdlers this season

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call

Mullins always has them ready for the festival ! Meanwhile Ricci will be manipulating the Antepost market to suit his own interests in the background.

I'd ignore everything that comes out of Closutton after last year.

It appears so. He will need to sort out a few of his 'stars' before March. When will we see Fagheen and AP?

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Faugheen will run in the Irish Champion Hurdle at the end of next week by all accounts.

Re: Cheltenham Ante Post & Roll Call
Morning all

Back for the first 3 days again this year and my 2 naps of the meeting thus far and the 2 I have backed antepost at decent prices are;

Moon Racer - Supreme Novices .......Nice to see a few people mentioning this one, some small rumours they may run it in the Champion Hurdle but cant see that .

Defi De Seul - Triumpth Hurdle.........Saw this run at Cheltenham in November in the Trial and was very impressive , into about 5 or 6's now so still plenty of value there.

Gold cup gonna be the weakest in years , simply if Thistlecrack stands up it wins.

If all turn up fit I can see the Mullins Trio being split as follows;
Faugheen - Champion Hurdle
Annie - Mares Hurdle
Vroom Vroom - Stayers Hurdle

Looking forward to Altior vs Min Part 2

Flannel

I had in my mind

Champion Hurdle - Annie Power
Mares - VVM
Stayers - Faugheen

Who knows which way he will go though, he is bloody hard to read is WPM
